Situated along the hillside of the valley of Dordogne is this 19th Century Périgourdine style country home built from dressed stones. The house is on 3 hectares of land, located on top of the small village of Montcaret in the Périgord Pourpre region.
A maximum of ten people can be accommodated in this home.

One hundred kilometers from the house is Sarlat, one of the most beautiful villages around Dorgogne with structures dating from the Medieval and Renaissance period. Thirty kilometers north of Sarlat are the Lascaux Caves, world renowned for the prehistoric paintings discovered in 1940. Numerous caves and prehistoric sites such as Les Eyzies de Tayac and Gouffre de Proumeyssac are also near the area. One hundred kilometers in the opposite direction of the estate are large ocean beaches.

Saint Emilion, a town that dates back from Roman times and one of the finest producers of wine in the world is about thirty kilometers away from the house. Bergerac or the "Gateway to the Perigord", is also thirty kilometers away towards the East.

Although a small convenience store is located in the village (one hundred meters away from the home) a vehicle is highly recommended to run errands and to discover the region.

The house has been fully renovated and consists of seven rooms and several fireplaces. It is fully equipped and furnished with all the modern comforts to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. Large terraces located in the southern part of the house are wonderful for relaxing and enjoying the majestic scenery especially during the summer. There is also a large enclosed outdoor swimming pool perfect for swimming a few laps or a refreshing dip to cool down during the warmer months.

The house is rented weekly from Easter until All Saints’ Day. The weekly prices are determined according to the 3 seasonal rental periods. The Green Period (beginning from the beginning of April until the beginning of June, and mid-September until the beginning of November) is 840 Euros. The Blue Period (beginning from June until the beginning of July, and from the first until the fifteenth of September) is 1120 Euros. Lastly the Red Period (beginning from July to the end of August) is 1540 Euros.

To rent this home you must read and sign the Seasonal Leasing Agreement, Rental Conditions and Reservation Form in order to complete your specific demands and to do a precise detailed quote of your stay. All these forms are enclosed in the package and are to be sent back to the address provided with your Initial Deposit. You are also required to read the following carefully : the Inventory of Fixtures and Equipment to understand what is included in the home and the Directions to Roc de L’Espérit.
